A tough 10 mile loop. First 3 miles a gradual climb with an 8% kicker at the 2.5 mile mark. My quads were en fuego at the top of the climb in the second race. The next 3+ miles were on bumpy back roads with several blind sharp turns, difficult to keep the pace steady. Once you got off the back roads it was smooth pavement and a gradual downhill that you could bomb into the finish.
Cat 4 race 24:10 (24.8 mph avg) 3rd place in the category and 16th place overall
Masters 50-59 24:20 (24.6 mph avg) 5th place in the division and 18th place overall
