First in the Clydesdale division. The pack stuck together over the dam and through the first lap, when one of the other locals put the hammer down. I had to chase. Was almost my undoing when I hooked a tree with my bar end and endo'd. Thought I was done. Got back on the bike and took stock, only a few flesh wounds... Put my head down and hoped to stay in second. Ended up catching sight of first place on the way back across the dam. Caught up right before the gravel trail. Made the pass and ran scared to the end... Fun ride and a good day for a race. The post race libations weren't half bad either.
