What a beautiful day to ride a lot of miles! My dad and I rode 25 miles up to the race course at a slow pace. I was hoping to go to church with my wife, but we will go another time she is feeling better. We only have 7 more weeks until Caylin is due! God is so good!

What a hard course to race on. If you missed it you better go next time! It was great preparation for the Chippewa Creek RR. The PVR Team did a great job marshaling all the corners and hills. Thanks to all who helped out today to keep the riders safe!

The first lap we took an easy pace and the second lap we stepped it up a notch. I broke a spoke on the second lap, but I didn't know it until two to go. Thanks to Stephan Kadar telling me my brake pads were worn off!! (LOL) Seven of us were away from the rest of the faithful riders for the last four laps of the race.

The break started by several attacks. Once Paul Martin had three teammates up the road, Paul pulled HARD for half a lap. That established the break for the rest of the race. The Lake Effect Team really did a great job of keeping all seven of us together. I enjoyed the ride and hoped that I wouldn't get dropped. In the sprint I was the first to jump up this little knoll and Dad was yelling, " You've got a big gap, keep going." That was more incentive for me to keep pushing harder.

Psalm 18:32 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
